Murasame Satoya

He is a popular novelist lodging at the café "Haikaraya" who also operates in the shadows as a highly skilled informant, supplying intelligence to both the Imperial Army and the Oni clan. Maintaining a neutral stance—aligned with neither the military nor the Oni—he is a man with a nonchalant air who observes the future of the Imperial Capital from his own unique perspective.

He treats the protagonist—who has arrived from another world—not as a "Divine Maiden," but simply as an ordinary young woman.

He shares a significant history with Kudan, though he is often exasperated by the latter's tendency to do things at his own pace.

Incidentally, Shuhei Katagiri is a huge fan of his novels.
