Sothis

Her true identity is the "Goddess Sothis," revered as the "Lord" within the Church of Seiros.

According to the Church's teachings, she descended upon Fódlan in ancient times, created all forms of life—including plants and humans—and granted powers such as magic in response to people's prayers.

Later, when Fódlan was invaded by a "malevolent force," the Goddess sought to counter the threat by entrusting a human named Nemesis and the "Ten Elites" with the "Hero's Relics"—supernatural weapons—and the power of the "Crests," the bloodlines required to wield them.

Although Nemesis and his companions defeated the evil and became heroes, they eventually succumbed to the intoxication of their own power and turned against one another. The Goddess delivered a divine oracle to the prophet Seiros, commanding her to strike them down alongside a gathering of saints and mortals; however, grieving that humanity had abused the power she had bestowed, the Goddess departed for the heavens. It is said that she now watches over Fódlan from her homeland, the "Star of the Blue Sea."

A ritual known as the "Rite of Rebirth" is held annually on July 26th at Garreg Mach Monastery to pray for her return.
