The Side Character Who Thought He Was the Protagonist Mistook the Real Hero for a Side Character and Accidentally Won Everything

“I want to be a protagonist!” After a boy who would readily throw away even his own life for the sake of others was reincarnated, he found himself in the world of a game, reborn as a mere background character. His new identity was Fey, a disposable loser with no talent whatsoever for either swordsmanship or magic. Thanks to a goddess’s little prank, however, he never once doubted that he was the protagonist. Naturally, he was no match for the true heroes destined to shape the world. Yet his utterly abnormal passion would eventually shatter a scenario steeped in despair. With sheer fighting spirit alone, he brought genuine protagonists to their knees. Striking his most determined hero pose, he won over a princess knight heroine. Through fiery training, his stats skyrocketed as well!? Before long, aided by the thoughtful misunderstandings of those around him (?), people began recognizing him as a powerful figure entirely on their own. Thus begins a tale of mistaken identities and heroic delusions, where an unremarkable mob character gradually grows into a true protagonist! You there, who yearn for stories, would you like to become a real “protagonist”? (Source: Hanashi Media)
