Jeralt Reus Eisner

Known as the leader of the Jeralt's Mercenaries, he is a highly skilled mercenary. His class is Paladin. He possesses a bold and open-hearted personality. He enjoys fishing and drinking, often running up tabs at taverns across Fódlan.

Despite his rough-and-ready nature, he has surprisingly neat handwriting and keeps a diary where he records his love for Beleth's mother.

While he rarely expressed his affection for Beleth openly, his parental love was evident; he frequently checked in on Beleth after they left his side to work as a teacher, offering words of concern, arranging a unit for them, and gifting them introductory texts on military strategy.

Whether due to his casual nature or because he is harboring secrets, he does not even remember his own age. Furthermore, he harbors suspicions regarding the central organization of the Church of Seiros—the faith practiced throughout Fódlan—and thus told Beleth little about the political situation surrounding it; he also handled almost all external negotiations for the mercenary company himself.

Six years ago, when he stopped by Sawin Village on a job to deal with poachers, Leonie—whom he would later reunite with as a student at the Officers Academy—asked to become his apprentice, and he took her on as one for the duration of his stay.
